Ingredients
  

  • Ground beef 1 lb 450 g
  • Egg noodles 12 oz 340 g
  • Mushrooms sliced 8 oz (225 g)
  • Onion chopped 1 medium
  • Garlic minced 3 cloves
  • Beef broth 2 cups 480 ml
  • Sour cream 1 cup 240 g
  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Olive oil 1 tbsp
  • Salt & pepper To taste
  • Fresh parsley 2 tbsp

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Cook the Beef and Onions
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
  • Step 2: Add Mushrooms and Seasonings
  • Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and become golden. Season with salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce
  • Push the beef mixture to one side of the pan. Add butter and flour to the empty space, whisking to make a quick roux. Slowly pour in the beef broth while stirring, scraping up any browned bits. Let it simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Step 4: Combine with Noodles
  • Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. Stir sour cream into the beef mixture to make a silky sauce, then fold in the noodles until well coated.
  • Step 5: Serve Warm and Enjoy
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. This dish pairs perfectly with a crispy green salad or steamed vegetables.
