Servings 1 1–2 cups per batch
- Fresh lemon balm leaves: 1 cup or 1 tablespoon dried leaves
- Freshly grated ginger: 1 teaspoon optional, boosts metabolism
- Lemon juice: Juice of ½ lemon adds vitamin C and supports fat burning
- Filtered water: 2 cups use clean water for best flavor
- Raw honey: 1 teaspoon optional, adds sweetness and antioxidants
Bring 2 cups of filtered water to a gentle boil in a pot or kettle.
Place the fresh lemon balm leaves (or dried leaves) and grated ginger into a teapot or infuser.
Pour the hot water over the herbs, then cover to trap the steam and flavors.
Allow the mixture to steep for 7–10 minutes, letting the herbs release their full benefits.
Strain the tea into your favorite mug.
Stir in the juice of half a lemon and 1 teaspoon of raw honey, if desired, for added flavor and nutrients.
-
You can use dried lemon balm leaves if fresh ones aren’t available—use 1 tablespoon for every 1 cup fresh.
