Ingredients

  • 1 skin-on salmon fillet
  • 1 whole lemon half sliced, half juiced
  • Unsalted butter melted
  • Honey
  • Garlic minced
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper
  • Fresh parsley optional garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven and line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Place the salmon fillet on the foil and tuck lemon slices underneath the fish.
  • Whisk together the melted butter, fresh lemon juice, honey, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  • Season the top of the salmon with salt and pepper, then pour most of the glaze over the fillet.
  • Seal the aluminum foil tightly to create a packet that traps steam.
  • Bake the salmon until it is tender and nearly cooked through.
  • Open the foil packet carefully and spoon the remaining garlic butter over the top.
  • Broil the fish briefly until the surface becomes golden and slightly caramelized.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

• Use fresh lemon juice instead of bottled for the best flavor balance.
• Aim for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for the perfect flaky texture.
• Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
