Total Time 15 minutes mins
- ½ cup whole milk – warmed; skim off skin if desired
- 1 cup heavy cream – adds a velvety texture
- 2 tsp vanilla extract – enhances aroma
- ⅓ cup caster sugar – fine texture for smooth blending
- 1 tbsp dried skim milk powder – optional; boosts creaminess
- 2 tsp light corn syrup – balances sweetness
- 1 tsp condensed milk – optional; adds richness
- 2 squares white cooking chocolate – melted for creamy flavor
- Optional syrups: maple hazelnut, honey, or Torani – for flavor variations
Step 1 — Warm the Milk Base
Pour ½ cup of whole milk into a microwave-safe mug or small pot. Warm for 40–50 seconds, just until hot (not boiling). Skim off any skin that forms. The milk should be smooth, slightly steamy, and ready for blending.
Step 2 — Add Flavors & Sweeteners
Chop the white chocolate into small pieces. Add it to the warm milk with caster sugar, milk powder, and vanilla extract. Whisk gently until everything melts and blends into a creamy base.
If needed, microwave for an additional 15–20 seconds to fully dissolve the chocolate.
Step 3 — Combine & Adjust
Slowly stir in light corn syrup and condensed milk. These create that silky, barista-style texture. Mix well to ensure even sweetness.
If you’d like, add a drizzle of maple or honey for an extra touch of flavor.
Step 4 — Chill or Heat
Let the mixture cool slightly. You can serve it warm for a cozy bedtime sip or chill it for 15–20 minutes for a refreshing iced version.
For iced moon milk, pour over cubes and top with whipped cream or frothed milk.
Step 5 — Serve & Garnish
Slowly add the heavy cream, stirring between each pour to build that luscious, creamy layer.
Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg, or dried edible flowers for a magical finish.
