Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons organic lemon juice about ½ lemon, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons organic Grade B maple syrup
  • 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper powder
  • 10 ounces filtered warm water

  • Prepare the Lemon Juice
    Slice half a lemon and squeeze it to get around twotablespoons of fresh juice. Avoid bottled juice—it lacks the bright flavor andnutrients of fresh lemon.
  • Combine the Base
    In a large glass, mix the lemon juice and maple syrup. Stiruntil they blend completely.
  • Add the Cayenne
    Sprinkle in a small pinch of cayenne pepper. If it’s yourfirst time, start lightly—cayenne can be powerful.
  • Pour the Water
    Add about ten ounces of filtered or slightly warm water.Stir gently until everything is mixed well.
  • Enjoy or Store
    Drink right away for maximum freshness, or keep it in aglass jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Shake before drinking.
